Wind Farms

Benton County Projects

There are currently three approved wind farms either in operation or development within Benton County. Several more expect to occur in the near future.

Benton County Wind Farm
The first wind farm in Indiana! Developed by Orion Energy Group LLC, this farm has 87 turbines with approval for 135 in the Earl Park area.

Fowler Ridge Wind Farm
Located in central Benton County, this project is a joint venture between BP Alternative Energy and Dominion Resources that will eventually include over 400 turbines.

Hoosier Wind Project
Developed by enXco, this project is located in the northeast corner of Benton County and has 63 turbines.
